Venice Elopement Photographer – Venice Wedding Photography

Last year around this time I was strolling the beautiful streets in Venice photographing a gorgeous couple in a  Venice wedding shoot that was published in Rock My Wedding.

I feel so lucky as a wedding photographer in London to be able to travel so easily to so many of these wonderful European Destination wedding locations. You may ask, ‘why would someone who is having a Venice Wedding or Venice Elopement choose a hire a photographer who is based in London?’

There are a number of reasons for this, but one of the most important in my opinion is to bridge any communication gaps for English speakers which in my opinion is hugely dependent for being able to give direction and consequently creating beautiful imagery. Being in front of the camera isn’t easy (unless you happen to be a professional model) and I think one of the worst injustices a photographer can make their clients suffer is to allow them to stand there, not knowing what to do with themselves, feeling awkward and uncertain.

One of my greatest strengths is being able to connect with my clients and help them look beautiful by guiding them in a way that allows them to connect. My light direction is conducive to natural interactions that take the focus off of me and my camera and allow the couple to enjoy one another. Ironically,  this couple did happen to be Italian, and in order to achieve this same level of communication to make them feel comfortable, I spent a significant amount of time showing rather than sayings what they might want to try.

2016 brought me to Italy (twice), Spain (twice), Greece (three times), and France, and I’m so excited to see what 2017 will bring I can’t wait to go back later this year to photograph another Venice Wedding!

Everything in this elopement was coordinately expertly by wedding planner Laura Holden of Holden bespoke, including two beautiful bridal looks, watercolor inspired stationary, and playful and whimsical “mini cakes” perfect for two.
