Bright & Colorful London Wedding Editorial

A few months back I was asked to photograph a gorgeous editorial in a hip Central London venue located in Pimlico. The styling for the editorial was a refreshing departure from the soft, muted color palette so often associated with weddings, instead offering a colorful, flirty and fresh take on wedding styling that would work perfectly for a young, modern bride.

I photographed most of the session on film (coming soon: why you might want to choose a film or hybrid photographer vs. a purely digital photographer) which added to the richness, depth of color, and the soft organic feel in the images.

Although almost of the couples I photograph are actual partners (I’m a wedding photographer after all!), in this particular shoot the “bride and “groom” had never met before, neither were professional models (although you could have fooled me, because they are gorgeous people) and additionally, and the “groom” happened to be very sick during the session–all of these significant challenges in my work to make the “couple” look natural and having chemistry.

Fortunately, I have great tricks up my sleeve and as always I worked with the two to create natural interactions that lead to beautiful photos. You’d never know if I didn’t tell you right?
